This was one of the last mugs I threw while I was in college.
It had an impossibly thin wall (that I was only able to confirm after I broke it. My wall on this mug is totally consistent. The only wobbly part is the bottom, but WOW that bottom is THIN), which mean an impossibly light weight. It was my favorite mug to use for cold and hot drinks, and I used it thoroughly for the last few years.

I loved the shape of it, how it was kind of convex in two different spots, and the foot which gave it a floating illusion. The only thing I wish was different was the handle (boo, some dinky coil handle) but I was experimenting with different kinds of handles at the time -- in other words, I thought coil handles were awesome, but they're really not awesome because they put too much weight on one spot.

Ah well, good bye, almost-perfect-mug ever!

What's a good type of handle? I've never had the chance to experiment with that and I'd always wondered!

I think for holding, a flat wide handle is the best.
but for just hanging on your fingers while holding the whole cup in your hand, coil is ok.

and weight distribution. thin handles are terrible for heavy mugs.
