I have been watching a great deal of Slayers Next lately. WHOOPS I DATED IT 2012 BY ACCIDENT. ohwell.

I wonder if Xelloss intended to tell Lina the talismans by using them in front of her, OR if he was instructed to give them to her by Zelas-Metallium, or if it was pure coincidence. Probably not pure coincidence, since nothing with xelloss is really coincidental.

I like the way you did the colors. The way her talismans seem to glow is a nice touch

Actually, in the novels he admitted that he gave them to her mostly by accident. She... er, I guess she made a great impression XD

In the anime, Lina barters it off of him by offering him a bunch of expensive magic goods, but since he can freely disappear into an alternate dimension, I don't get why money would be useful for him -- he could just steal things all the time instead.

I guess he just enjoys playing the money game.

Well, anime and novels are a bit different. Though it is still weird. Why would he give away a gift of Shabranigdo himself?
In novels it is even more strange since Lina and Xellos actually meet BEFORE he gets a command from Phibrizzio. He sells the talismans to a girl who is rather... average (in his opinion). Why would he do that?

Maybe. Eh, so many questions XD

wow.. baffling.

I can only understand this by assuming that xellos just really likes to eat out and buy things, even though he could JUST STEAL MONEY to get these kinds of things. In the shows he always seemed interested in trying out local food (that he knew was edible).

Well, his main trait seems to be curiosity. His anime version seems to be even more human-like and curious. Like, just listen to his official songs XD He sings to somebody who is verrry similar to Lina, to some other girl and all about new wonderful places they'll visit and fun events

Seeing how he didn't have them during the Dragon-Demon wars and still had no problem annihilating entire races, I'm thinking he was told my Zelas Metallium to make sure Lina reaches a certain point in the journey, and Xelloss happened across the talismans and then showed them off in front of her to give them to her them when her magic was cursed away....

Xelloss always has to be super inconvenient and indirect for no reason :/
